Cape Coast, Aug. 20, GNA – A Cape Coast High Court, presided over by Mr Justice K.K. Acquaye has convicted the Omanhene of Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Area, Obirifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea II, for contempt. He was sentenced to a fine of two million cedis or to serve a term of three months in prison in default of payment of the fine. In addition, Obirifo Ankobea was bonded to be of good behaviour for three months or serve a term of one month in default of the bond. He was also ordered to write a letter to withdraw the one he had circulated to people in and around Gomoa Buduburam about a judgement the court had earlier given on Fetteh chieftaincy dispute and submit a copy to the court within seven days. The chief was alleged to have written a letter, which sought to discredit the judgement. Ebusua Panyin Kwame Botwe, Ojo Kwame Amoquandoh and Nana Koranteng, all of Buduburam jointly filed the motion against the Omanhene. A cost of one million cedis was awarded against him. 20 Aug. 03
