Ofankor Mantse elected Presiding Member

Nii Klotey Boye II, Ofankor Mantse, has been elected as the Presiding Member for Ga West Municipal Assembly.

He polled 35 votes out of 38 after his opponents, Mr Allister Lord and Mr Amadu Azizi stepped down.

Nii Klotey Boye expressed gratitude to the assembly members and called for unity to push for more developmental projects in their communities.

Mrs Felicia Dapaah, Municipal Coordinating Director who presided over the function, commended the assembly members for at long last electing a Presiding Member, which had eluded the Assembly since October last year.

She congratulated Nii Boye for becoming the Presiding Member of the House.

Mr Sam Atukwei Quaye, Municipal Chief Executive said: “It is now time for developmental projects to progress in the communities since the Assembly has elected a Presiding Member to steer its activities.”

Nii Laryea, Member of Parliament for Amasaman called on the assembly members to educate the communities to become conversant with the activities of the Assembly.

He gave the assurance that he would spend some of his MP’s Common Fund to support the Assembly in its developmental projects in the communities.
