Auto electrician burnt to death while servicing taxi

The New Juaben Municipal Police Command is investigating the circumstances which led to the death of a 27-year-old auto-electrician Yusif Tijani while working on faulty taxi.

According to the Municipal Police Commander Superintendent Richardson Kumekor, at about 4:15pm on Saturday, one Reynolds Acheamfour Tetteh reported to the Police that the deceased, aged 23, was attending to his taxi cab, with registration number AS-5163-11, near Bona Clinic in the municipality, however, the taxi suddenly caught fire and trapped the electrician under the car.

The Police explained that Tijani was later rescued but sustained fatal injuries leading to his death at the Koforidua regional hospital where he was rushed for treatment.
