Mahama approves promotion for 12 prison officers

President John Dramani Mahama, acting on the advice of the Prisons Service Council, has approved the promotion of 12 superior officers of the Ghana Prisons Service.

A statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Prisons Service, and signed by the Chief Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Prisons, Vitalis Ayeh, said the promotion takes effect from January 1, 2016.

Directors of prisons Emmanuel Adzator and Patrick Darko Missah have been promoted to the position of Deputy Director General.

Mr. Sylvester K.B. Rabbles, Mrs Josephine Fredua Agyemang, Messers Alexander Kpeli and Leopold k. Amoah Ansah, have been promoted to the rank of Director.

Assistant Directors Ernest Asante Adofo, Robin Fenning, David Opuni Frimpong, Leonard Kwesi Dah, Matilda Opokua Oduro, and Ashly Henry Dasaah, have been made Deputy Directors.
