Tamale Teaching Hospital records six deliveries

The Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) recorded six deliveries on New Year’s Day out of which four were males and the remaining two were females.

The hospital recorded the same number of babies on Christmas Day with three girls and three boys while the Central Hospital recorded five deliveries on Christmas Day.

Madam Mary Diabour, the midwife on duty at the TTH told the GNA that the babies were delivered at separate periods between the early hours of 12 midnight and 8:00GMT on New Year’s Day.

She said all the new born babies and their mothers were healthy and doing very well.

At the Tamale Central Hospital, which recorded five deliveries on Christmas Day recorded no delivery as at the time the GNA visited the maternity ward.

Ms Adela Moomen in an interview with the GNA said apart from the December 25 deliveries, the facility had not recorded any delivery on New Year’s Day.
