Minister appeals for peace and stability

Mr Antwi-Boasiako Sekyere, the Eastern Regional Minister, has appealed to Ghanaians to ensure that, whatever they do in the New Year contributes towards the maintenance of peace and stability in the country.

He said this in an interview with the GNA as part of his message to the chiefs and people in the Region.

Mr Sekyere said 2016 is an election year with politicians making various promises and pleaded with the political parties and party activists to always place the national interest first.

He said 2015 has been a challenging year and expressed the hope that next year would be a progressive and more fulfilling year.
