Cop killers arrested

The Brong Ahafo Police Command has arrested two suspects, Kweku Bedu, 29, and Ishmael Ahenkora, 19, who allegedly killed a police constable at Kasoa in the Central Region in a shootout about a month ago.

The police said the culprits were arrested upon a tip-off at their hideout at Goaso in the Brong Ahafo region. The police also retrieved a Toyota car with registration number GT 8086-10, which was said to have been stolen from the owner at Ashiaman.

The police said about a month ago, a police constable (name withheld) was killed at Kasoa in the Central region during a shootout with five armed robbers.

One of the armed robbers also died in the process while two were arrested.

The suspects would be transferred to the Central region by the police to face prosecution.
