Teacher arrested for defiling nine pupils

Police in the Northern region have arrested a teacher for defiling nine pupils.

The suspect, David Ananga was reportedly transferred from the Lamashegu EP Primary School to another school after attempting to abort the pregnancy of one of his victims.

He is currently in police custody together with his accomplice, Frederick Akoto who allegedly made his room available for the act.

Authorities of the School in the Northern region are being questioned for shielding the teacher.

The Northern Regional coordinator of the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit, ASP Emmanuel Holortu in an interview with Starr News’ Alhaji Tanko said the suspect has been charged with rape, causing illegal abortion and abetment of crime.

Meanwhile, family of the 14-year-old victim who was forced to terminate her pregnancy is demanding justice.

The pupil was rushed to the hospital after severe bleeding.

Mohammed Hudu, who is the girl’s uncle, said she is in a stable condition after receiving some treatment. He added that the teacher slept with his niece several times.
