Parish Priest urges Ghanaians to spend within budget

The Reverend Father Ransford Titus Glover, Parish Priest of St Ambruce Anglican Church, Dome in Accra, has cautioned Ghanaians to spend within their budgets during festivities.

“The very people who complain about lack of money are those who spend on almost everything during festivities,” he said.

Rev Fr Glover gave the caution at the weekend, when the parish organised a special mass service for the aged and the sick members of the church, who were prayed for and offered gifts.

He told the Ghana News Agency that the service is organised annually for the beneficiaries in line with the Christmas fervour of giving and praying for the sick and the less privilege in the society.

“The yuletide should not be a time for over indulgence in alcohol and merry making. As Christians we should be moderate in our celebrations and rather promote family union and togetherness.

“When there is family union it permeates the fabrics of the society and promotes national integration and progress.
