Let’s pull together to make nation stronger – Chiefs

The National House of Chiefs (NHC) has sent its seasonal message to Ghanaians with a call to all to work together to make the nation stronger.

It said the significance of Christmas – to demonstrate love for each other as God reveals his love for mankind, must not be lost on them.

The House noted that the coming year would be crucial as the country prepared to go to the polls to elect the President and Members of Parliament (MPs) and asked everybody to be mindful of their actions and activities to protect the unity and cohesion of the society.

The chiefs urged the political parties and their supporters to avoid anything that could plunge the nation into confusion and turmoil.

The NHC’s message signed by Mr. A.K. Essien, its acting Registrar, also cautioned chiefs not to engage in active partisan politics.

Again, it appealed to the constitutional body charged with the conduct of elections to be neutral to restore public confidence.
