The Vine Power Chapel celebrates Third Anniversary

The Vine Power Chapel is to put up a school and a hospital, to cater for the educational and health needs of the poor and the needy.

The church will also award scholarships to selected needy children in some selected communities.

Reverend Samuel Odei, General Overseer of the Church, disclosed this at the Third Anniversary celebration of the church at Madina in Accra.

It was on the theme: “Celebrating His Goodness.”

Rev. Odei said the provision of the facilities, as well as the scholarships, formed part of the church’s social responsibilities.

He said the church over the years, had offered vocational training in batik, tie and dye, and dressmaking.

Rev. Odei said the church which was started with 30 members can now boast of a congregation of 300.

He said the church since its inception had transformed the lives of many people, with some of them occupying key positions.

The General Overseer advised other religious leaders to desist from acts which tended to tarnish the image of the clergy.

He said “selling a bottle of ‘holy water’ for GH¢ 500 and anointing oil for the same amount, has no biblical backing and must not be entertained.”

Rev. Odei appealed to drivers to desist from overloading and over speeding which he said could contribute to fatal accidents.

On the political scene, Rev. Odei urged Ghanaians to work towards peaceful elections next year.

He advised the youth to resist the temptation of being used as catalysts to create confusion in society.
