NGO presents wheel-chair to physically challenged

Techiman (B/A), Aug 14, GNA- The Netherlands Ghana Stitching Foundation, an NGO, on Thursday presented wheel chairs worth about 100 million cedis to the Ghana Society for the Physically Disabled at Techiman in Brong Ahafo.

Making the presentation, Mrs Regina Akosua Asiedu Donkor, an official of the Foundation, said the NGO was committed to the well being of the socially disadvantaged.

Miss Christiana Asiedu, Central Ghana Coordinator and Brong Ahafo Regional Secretary of the society, who received the items, thanked the Foundation for supporting the physically challenged in the region. Miss Asiedu appealed to the government to ensure that public places are made accessible and environmentally friendly to the disabled.
