Let’s work together to clean the environment

The Atwima-Nwabiagya District Chief Executive (DCE), Nana Asare Bediako, has urged people in the area to work together to overcome the environmental sanitation challenges they faced.

He said everybody should find space to contribute to efforts at keeping the communities clean.

He was speaking after he joined the chiefs and people of Toase to undertake a massive clean-up exercise in the town.

Nana Asare Bediako asked everybody to show responsibility and to make sure that they did not litter, dump garbage into open drains or defecate in open places.

This, he noted, was the way forward to prevent diseases.

The DCE denounced the generally poor and unenthusiastic response of the people to the national sanitation day programme.

He said it was important for them to get it right, pointing out that, “the national sanitation day is all about our health and not about which political party or political administration initiated the activity”.
