Helicopter makes emergency landing at Abelemkpe school pitch

A chopper made an emergency landing on a football field of the Abelemkpe Two Basic School in Accra.

According to report, the helicopter landed at about 12pm on Wednesday.

No one was injured during the emergency landing, which is believed to have been triggered by a technical glitch.

Technical experts from the West African Helicopters – owners of the helicopter – rushed to the scene to assess the situation.

The all-white helicopter has the registration 9G-AEP.

According to reporter Peter Adattor, the engine of the helicopter was started upon the arrival of the experts, but the aircraft could not take off.

Meanwhile, the incident has attracted a lot of curious pupils to the field that has been cordoned off by private security officers from Intercon.
