Old students support Alma Mater

The 1990 Year Group of the Tarkwa Senior High School (TARSCO), has constructed two mechanized boreholes with polytanks to their alma mater.

The facility worth GH¢35,000.00 is to ease the perennial water crisis and the use of unsafe water in the school.

Handing over the facility to the headmistress of the school, the President of the group, Mr Issa Salifu Taylor explained that the facility was most needed as water is the life blood of humans.

He said during their days in school they walked long distances before they had access to water in nearby communities.

Mr Taylor said the school has impacted positively on their lives and it was time to show their appreciation and pledged the group’s determination to support the school.

“Individual year groups will not achieve a lot, but when the various year groups come together they can solve the numerous challenges in the school”, he said.

He called on all old students of TARSCO to come on board and help raise the image of their alma mater.

Mrs Paulina Akosua Manu, the head mistress of the school, expressed appreciation for the projects and said this would reduce the increasing debt to the Ghana Water Company.
