Tailors and Dressmakers Association inaugurated

Ajumako (C/R) Aug. 10, GNA – The Ajumako branch of the Ghana Tailors and Dress Makers Association was on Saturday inaugurated at Ajumako with an appeal to members to render quality services to the public.

The Central Regional Minister, Mr Isaac Edumadze made the appeal in an address read for him at the inaugural ceremony performed by Mr Zakariah Abudulai, Assistant Director at the Central Regional Co-ordinating Council.

Mr. Edumadze said under the Golden age of Business programme, the government would provide financial assistance to people who would form co-operatives.

The Regional Minister therefore, urged the members to work hard to sustain the Association and commended the members for coming together and assured them of his administration’s assistance.

Mr Abdul Raman, chairman of the Association, in his welcoming address, said the Association, established in 1996, presently has 200 members.

Other officers were Mr Emmanuel Abeka Mensah, vice chairman, Mr Eric Gaisie, secretary, Ms. Rebecca Hayford, assistant secretary, Mr. Kwame Frempong, financial secretary, Ms Dorothy Darkwah, treasurer and Mr Peter Danquah, organiser.
