Madam Juliana Aboagye, the Klottey-Korle, New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairperson has stated that the party has already elected Mr Valentino Nii Noi Nortey as the parliamentary candidate for the constituency in the 2016 election.
She said the election was held on August 2, and supervised by officials of the party and the Electoral Commission.
Madam Aboagye made this known in a rejoinder to a GNA story, which was caused to be published by one Nana Nkosua Mingle on Tuesday, November 10, which designated Nii Noi Nortey as a parliamentary aspirant.
“We wish to state with all intent and purpose of our party, has already elected our parliamentary candidate for the constituency for election 2016 in the person of Valentino Nii Noi Nortey,” she stressed.
She said the publication had created erroneous, uninformed and uncalled for impression that the NPP do not have an elected parliamentary candidate.
