E.T Mensah: I’m not ready to check out of Parliament

Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram ET Mensah has served notice he is not ready to “check out of parliament”.

According to him, he will bow out of the lawmaking chamber if the time is right for him.

The former Youth and Sports minister is facing stiff competition from a presidential staffer Sam George who has vowed to defeat him in the upcoming parliamentary primaries of the ruling National Democratic Congress.

Speaking to Bola Ray on Starr Chat Wednesday, Mr. Mensah said he has done enough to merit another parliamentary term.

“ When you check into a hotel, nobody tells you when to check out; you do that by yourself. So no one will tell me when to check out of parliament.

“ So I went to parliament because I want to help my people and I believe I am still doing the best that I can and I believe I will determine when to bow out of parliament,” he stated.
