Melody School supports community

The management of Melody Early Childhood Development Center and Preparatory School, in collaboration with Total Life Changes (TLC) a corporate business entity based in the United States (US) over the weekend organised a day’s wealth creation workshop for the people of Fiapre, near Sunyani.

Mr Samuel Lawrence Apraku, Headmaster of the school, said the programme was part of his institution’s social responsibility to the community.

He said it had always been the school’s wish to transform lives, not only of the school children but the adult population as well, hence the programme to sensitize the community on local and international business opportunities to improve their lots.

“We want to help you to create wealth so that you would be able to take good care of yourselves and your children,” Mr Apraku, who is also a Pastor of the Nkwabeng-Agbozo branch of the Deeper Life Bible Church, told the gathering.

Mr Gordon Ofori, a Ghanaian Business Executive based in US and a representative of TLC, who facilitated the workshop, said it was his outfit’s desire to expose as many Ghanaians as possible to the numerous business opportunities around the globe.

He said TLC has a wide range of businesses and trade packages that could suit both the local and international market and consumers.

“My goal is to help my countrymen and women to create and share wealth to improve their living conditions and enjoy fulfilling lives, financially, mentally and spiritually.

Mr Ofori later took the large participants through some business topics like effective sales and marketing skills, proper records or bookkeeping as well as the principles of networking.

He urged Ghanaians to believe in themselves, avoid idleness and take advantage of opportunities that could bring or supplement their incomes to live above the poverty lines.

He, however, cautioned the citizens to be wary of tricksters, who would like to take advantage of the economic constraints and dupe unsuspecting persons.
