Afoko’s suspension could be overturned – Ayisi Boateng

A founder member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) George Ayisi Boateng has hinted the national executive committee of the party is likely to overturn Paul Afoko’s suspension.

According to Boating, there is no decision which cannot be overturned provided the affected person resorts to the right channel to seek for redress.

“Those aggrieved must use the mechanisms in the party to address their problems,” Boateng told Starr News’ Isaac Bediako.

“There is no decision that cannot be overturned. When a decision is taken and you’re aggrieved you use the right process to seek redress.”

The founding member of the NPP believes recent happenings in the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition could affect the party’s chances of winning the 2016 general elections should the status quo remain the same.

“It is yes and no. Yes because many of our supporters are worried and that can affect their morale. No because no condition is permanent. Whatever is happening to the party can be resolved,” he said.

Ayisi was optimistic the NPP can win the general elections if it unites because Ghanaians are yearning for change.

“We cannot afford to live under John Mahama and the NDC for another four years. We cannot experience hardship under Mahama again. Ghanaians want change.
