I’ll crash ‘small boy’ Sam George – E.T Mensah

One of Parliament’s old guards E.T Mensah has served notice he is going to embarrass his protégé Sam George in the November 7 parliamentary primaries.

The presidential staffer has sworn heaven and earth to let the current MP for Ningo-Prampram kiss goodbye to the lawmaking chamber as he contests him for the constituency slot.

The former Minister of Youth and Sports under the Rawlings regime stated George comes nowhere close to his political experience and contribution to Ghana’s democracy.

“He doesn’t come close at all,” the veteran lawmaker said at a campaign event in his constituency over the weekend.

He said he has gone through the mill as a constituency organiser, national vice chairman, founder of the EGLE party and played an instrumental role in founding the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

After flaunting his experience, Mensah revealed he knows the weak point of his “boy” and will deal with him and retain the seat for the ruling party.

“This boy was my boy. I’ll crash Sam George and defeat him. The battle is ours, and we’ll win come election 2016,” the former Works and Housing Minister told Accra-based Citi FM later in an interview.
