PNC Chairman urges loyalty and sacrifice

The Juaben Constituency Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Mr. Mohammed Ayuba, has rallied members of the party to remain loyal and make sacrifices to improve the performance of the party in the 2016 elections.

They have to work together with unity of purpose to broaden the party’s support base.

He was addressing a meeting held at Nobewam to pick people to represent the constituency at the delegates’ congress to elect the national leadership.

Mr. Ayuba asked every true party member or supporter to find space to contribute meaningfully to its growth.

They should accept to go from house-to-house to woo voters, he said, telling them that, nobody should sit on the sidelines.

He pledged to do everything to inject more vibrancy into the party in the area – get all of its structures to function properly.

Mr. Ayuba gave strong backing to the proposed merger of the PNC and the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), and said that could significantly boost their electoral fortunes.

He, however, noted that for the unity talks to make progress, both sides must show good faith and demonstrate seriousness.

The meeting elected Mr. Ayuba alongside 13 other constituency officers as delegates the national congress.
