Mahama inaugurates ultramodern Judicial court complex

President John Dramani Mahama commissioned the New Judicial Court Complex in Accra on Friday.

The new complex will accommodate 42 High Courts and has ancillary facilities like clinic and banking services attached to the stately facility.

Other facilities in the six-storey building are judges’ chambers, cells, registries, witnesses’ waiting rooms, lawyers/clients meeting rooms, rooms for alternative dispute resolution, a conference room, a library, gymnastic room and a media briefing room.

The US$50 million project, which began in August 2011, was executed by Chinese Company, State Hualong Construction Limited, with funds from the Government of Ghana.

Speaking at the inauguration of the new ultra modern court complex, President Mahama said the exposé by Anas and the Tiger Eye PI provoking all kinds of conversations in the media has regrettably ridiculed the bench.
