‘Let’s unite and win 2016 polls’

An aspiring Member of Parliament (MP) on the ticket of the NDC for Tema East Constituency, Nii Abbey, has called on members of the party to unite and win the 2016 elections.

According to him, the 2016 election was not going to be a child’s play as such they needed a formidable force to win once again.

He was speaking to Today in an interview on his chances of winning the primaries at the constituency and finally wrestling the seat from the NPP come the 2016 elections.

He said although the NPP claims the Tema East Constituency is their stronghold, the results of the last elections proved otherwise because President John Dramani Mahama beat Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over 2000 votes, but the NDC lost the MP seat.

Nii Abbey said he will bring every member of the party on board to work together and win the seat for the NDC.

Describing himself as a unifier, he pledged to use his experience in public life to bear on the constituents.

He, therefore, entreated all members of the NDC to vote for him to lead the constituency come 2016.
