Abuakwa State College get new classroom block

The Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Antwi-Boasiako Sekyere has advised students to appropriately utilize the opportunities given to them during school hours to score good grades in their external examinations and stop relying on the November /December West African Secondary School Certificate Examinations.

He assured that government would not relent on its effort to deliver the educational materials needed to provide quality education for students and advised every individual in charge of education to deliver on their mandate.

Mr Antwi-Boasiako was speaking at the commissioning of a 12-unit classroom block at the Abuakwa State College at Kyebi.

He advised school authorities and students to adopt the culture of maintenance to maintain the developmental projects in the school.

The headmaster of the school, Mr Nicholas Ani–Agyei, urged philanthropists, old students and stakeholders to support the hard work of government in providing infrastructure and other educational materials for the schools.

He appealed for the construction of a fence wall around the school and the rehabilitation of some facilities in the school, especially the toilets and the school kitchen.

Mr Ani-Agyei called for early completion of the multi-purpose assembly hall to help reduce the pressure on the old dining hall, which is being used for entertainment and other programmes of the school.
