Tamso Methodist youth gives to orphanage home

The Tamso Society of the Mount Zion Methodist youth fellowship has donated 500 exercise books, 28 school bags and other learning materials worth GH¢1,700.00 to the Angles of Hope orphanage in Tarkwa.

Making the presentation, Mr. Ebenezer Quayson, the Chairman of the youth fellowship said the items were made available by members of the society and other donors in the church.

He said as followers of Christ one of their core objective was to help in the up keep of all children, irrespective of where they find themselves.

Mr.Quayson noted that the Methodist church was not only interested in the welfare of its members, but also shared equal responsibility to support the development of the country, especially the unfortunate ones in society.

He said children in the orphanage can excel and occupy higher positions in the country if they get the needed assistance in their education.

The chairman appealed to stakeholders in Tarkwa and beyond to support the home in cash or in kind.

Receiving the items, Madam Esi Antobam, the Managing Director of the home, expressed her appreciation to the donors and said the home needs support from organizations, individuals and philanthropist.
