Wearing of G-Strings harmful – Doctor warns

It may look luxurious and fashionable, but it has now been declared a major medium of transmitting infections for women.

If you wear G-String, the bad news is that health experts have warned that a new study shows that they are dangerous for your health.

G-String is a garment consisting of a narrow strip of cloth attached to a waistband that covers only the genital area.

It is worn as underwear by many women but doctors want patrons to desist from its use.

The Focal Person on HIV-AIDS for the Western region, Dr. Roland Sowah in an interview with Starr News said many women are increasingly becoming prone to several infections due to the practice of wearing the G-string.

“What we noticed is that there can be transmission of infections from the anus to the vagina area and vice versa because the nature of the panty is that the string basically is in the anal region and therefore the possibility of the organisms moving from the anus to vagina is high,” Dr. Sowah said.

He added that the infection does not have an age gap and can affect any woman who wears a G-String.
