Airline donates to 37 Military Hospital

The Tamakloe Ward of the 37 Millitary Hospital on Monday received medical equipment worth GH¢ 5,000 from the Africa World Airline (AWA).
The donation was part of activities by the Airline to mark its third year of operation in Ghana, which fell on September 21.

The equipment included surgical gloves, nurses’ cups, gowns, and several others.

Mr. Cheng Luo, the Chief Executive Officer of AWA-Ghana, donated the equipment, and said it was important for organizations to lend some efforts towards improving upon society, through assisting with the provision of crucial needs and services.

He said the donation was in line with the social responsibility commitment of the Airline, and hoped the equipment would improve the services of the hospital.

Captain Bridget Adama, Second in Command at the ward, on behalf of Brigadier-General Ralph Ametepey, Commander of the 37 Millitary Hospital, received the equipment and said the donation was very much needed by the hospital.

“On behalf of the Commander of the 37 Military Hospital, we thank you and assure you that the equipment would be put to good use,” she said.

To mark the occasion, the Airline also distributed a number of gifts to some of its loyal customers.
