Aspiring MP files for parliamentary election for Builsa South

Bolgatanga, July 23, GNA – Mr. Basko Alhassan Kante, a former deputy Minister for Fuel and Power in the Limann regime has filed to contest the parliamentary elections for the Builsa South Constituency on the NPP ticket in 2004.

Mr. Kante, who denounced his membership of CPP/PNP said he started his campaign for the NPP in December 2002 after intensive consultations with the youth, elders and opinion leaders of the constituency and has been given the nod.

He claimed that the Builsa district and for that matter the Builsa South constituency is the least developed, adding it has been ignored, sidelined and discarded by winning governments though the people have shown good will and loyalty.

The aspiring MP pledged that with his experience and maturity, he will represent his constituency with honesty and dynamism and will make internal and external contacts with donors to rapidly develop Builsa, if elected.

Mr. Kante called on the people of the constituency to vote massively for him for a positive change in the area.
