Afenyo-Markin dares ‘detractors’

Member of Parliament (MP) for Effutu Alexander Afenyo-Markin has dismissed the content of a leaked tape, saying it is not worth his attention.

The tape suggested that the lawyer-cum-law maker was colluding with another man to benefit financially from a case between his client and the Agricultural Development Bank (adb).

“In my view this is a cowardly attempt by my detractors to tarnish my hard won reputation especially in the light of the case I am pursuing in court on behalf of my client against adb,” the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP said in a statement on Tuesday.

“I see this as a pure vicious blackmail and wouldn’t want to give attention to same.”

He has, therefore, thrown a challenge to those behind the tape to “follow due process in pursuing this in law court since the allegations being made are criminal in nature “.
