MP files nomination for AOB NDC primaries

Madam Nkrumah Aboah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa (AOB), has urged members and supporters of the NDC to tolerate one another’s views, since internal elections did not mean attacks among themselves.

Madam Aboah made the call after she has filled her nomination forms at the AOB NDC party office at Breman Asikuma, seeking to be retained as the parliamentary candidate for the 2016 elections.

She asked other contestants to talk about issues, and pledged to continue to offer selfless and accessible leadership, and to work assiduously to bring more development projects to the constituency to help better the lot of the constituents.

She thanked the members and chiefs for their continued support and encouragement, which she said, had helped her to bring those numerous developments to the area.

Mr. Markloro Afori, Constituency Secretary of the party who received the forms, told the press that Madam Aboah was contesting the primaries with one Alhaji Allahassan Ghansah a businessman who had already filed his nomination.

He stated that the NDC was bigger than any individual member of the party, and emphasized the need for all the aspirants and their supporters to conduct their campaigns in a peaceful manner and with civility, and should not do anything to tear the party apart.

Earlier in the day, Madam Aboah had with a large crowd gone on a float through the principal streets of the town.
