DA elections: Taxi runs into jubilant supporters; six killed

Six jubilant supporters of an elected assemblyman in the just ended District Assembly elections in Assin South in the Central region have been crashed to death.

The incident happened after a taxi cab run into them on Tuesday.

An eyewitness told Starr News that the deceased were jubilating on the highway following the re-election of their candidate Mathew Botwe as assembly man for the area.

The driver of the taxi reportedly lost control of the wheels, running into the jubilant supporters and killing six of them.

Several others who sustained injuries are still receiving treatment at the hospital.
