Residents of Minority Leader’s hometown kick against his re-election

Some residents of Tarkwa Maakro, hometown of Minority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, have started a campaign against his re-election in 2016.

According to the residents, the outspoken MP has failed to deliver on his promises.

They claim even though Mr. Kyei Mensa-Bonsu was born and bred in the town, they are yet to benefit from any infrastructural development under his almost 20 years stay in parliament.

“There are a lot of things he has neglected in his own electoral area or constituency. One of those things are where he attended school around the Suame Magazine.

“And also the road leading to his own house where his sister lived before she passed away has been in poor state since time immemorial.

“ We will like to say to him in the face that he has disappointed us dearly and we prefer a stranger to represent us than for him to do this to us,” some of the angry residents told Starr News’ Ashanti regional correspondent Isaac Bediako Justice in an interview Wednesday.
