Samuel Nuamah to be buried September 17

The Ghanaian Times reporter who died in the fatal presidential press corps accident, Samuel Nuamah, would be buried on September 17, 2015, his family has confirmed.

The funeral service for the late journalist would be held at the forecourt of the State House, Accra, before his remains would be laid to rest at the Osu Cemetary.

President John Mahama and some government officials graced an event to mark the one week of the passing of the journalist at the Press Centre Saturday.

Nuamah lost his life Thursday August 20, after a mini van carrying the presidential press corps burst a tyre and somersaulted several times at Shai Osudoku in the Greater Accra region, leading to the death of Nuamah.

The vehicle was returning to Accra from the Volta region where President Mahama had attended the annual convention of the EP Church.
