Asiedu Nketia is a ‘five-star’ General in politics – Ofosu-Ampofo

First National Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, has touted the credentials of his party’s General Secretary saying he is a “very intelligent and educated” person.

Johnson Asiedu Nketia, also called General Mosquito, has been very vocal on the need for the Electoral Commission to keep the current voters’ register despite calls from opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to replace it, insisting any attempt to replace the register may create more room for it to be compromised.

He has also argued severally that avenues will be created for minors to be registered in the new voters’ register and so, to him; the NPP calls must not be heeded.

But some have questioned his open advocacy to maintain the current register as it is wondering why he is acting as if he is the Electoral Commission (EC’s) Spokesperson.

Speaking on “Kokrokoo” on Peace FM, Mr. Ofosu Ampofo showered praises on his Chief Scribe stressing further that he (General Mosquito) should become a “five-star” General laureate in Ghana’s politics.

He placed on record that his “General Secretary is a very intelligent person. My General Secretary is a very intelligent person…He’s very educated; very intelligent. He can combine domestic and book wisdom, and for me; he is a five-star General in politics.”

He further advised the NPP to discuss issues regarding the voters’ register in a dispassionate manner and further warned them against any premature assessment of the electoral process.
