Call off strike or resign – Tarzan tells doctors
Dr Charles Wereko-Brobby, the Chief Policy Analyst of the Ghana Institute for Public Policy Options (GIPPO), a public policy think tank, has called on Ghanaian doctors to end their strike and return to work.
TUESDAY
No member of the Ghana Medical Association will resign on Friday as the body heads for an emergency general meeting to decide on their next line of action in the ongoing impasse between them and the state.

Israel refuses Ghanaian ‘lesbian’ seeking asylum
An asylum request by a female citizen of Ghana who claimed to have been persecuted there for being a lesbian was rejected by an advisory committee on refugees reporting to the Interior Ministry, after determining that she had conducted a long-term relationship with a man and had not had any relationship with a woman in Israel.

The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has called off its strike. A statement issued by the association said the National Executive Council considered the appeals from members of general public, the clergy, and the National Council of Chiefs.
