Pentecost Church donates to Mampong Hospital

Mampong (Ash), July 12, GNA – The Women’s Movement of the Asante-Mampong South branch of the Church of Pentecost has presented assorted items worth two million cedis to the patients at the Mampong Government Hospital.

The items included one bag of rice, a bag of maize, half bag of sugar, a box of key soap, assorted soaps, one tin edible oil, 20 loaves of bread, 10 tins of tomatoes and a large quantity of fruits. Pastor Dan Asihene, District Pastor in-charge of the Pentecost Church and Mrs Sarah Marfo, leader of the Women’s Movement, jointly presented the items.

According to them, the donation formed part of the church’s social obligation to needy individuals.

They lauded the staff of the hospital for their commitment and dedication to duty and urged them to keep it up.

Mrs Florence Duker, acting District Deputy Director of Nursing Services, thanked the donors for their sensitivity towards the spiritual and physical needs of the patients at the hospital.

She assured the donors that the items would be used for the purpose for which they were presented.
