Wells Commissioned In Upper East Region

Four wells have been commissioned in the Eastern and Upper East Regions to alleviate the perennial water shortage facing the inhabitants there. The wells constructed by the Islamic Council for Development and Humanitarian Services, were sited at Bawku, Morladantinga and Kariyanga all in the Upper East and Koforidua in the Eastern Region. The projects were funded by the Kuwait Zakat House. Commissioning the projects, the Islamic Council’s Co-ordinator of Wells, Mr.. Lukman Khalid Ibrahim, advised the recipients to maintain the facilities and use water sparingly because it has no substitute.
