Let’s consider party’s interest first-Max-Voy

Mr Emmanuel Max-Voy, a parliamentary aspirant of the National Democratic Congress in Ashaiman, has urged members and supporters of the party within the constituency to place its welfare over and above their individual parochial interests.

Mr Max-Voy who is an entrepreneur and educationist, made the call when he interacted with newsmen at Ashaiman.

He said the constituency needed a transformational leader, an innovator and a development-oriented personality who could address the numerous challenges facing the constituents.

Mr Max-Voy mentioned youth unemployment, poor road network, and poverty, as some of the challenges which ought to be tackled.

He expressed grave concern about disunity and apathy among party members in the constituency, and reminded them that they could only win the Ashaiman seat in 2016 with a united and solid front.

The NDC parliamentary aspirant said when elected as the candidate in the November primary, he would focus attention on poverty alleviation, youth and women empowerment, community development, and job creation, among others, to improve the living standards of the constituents.

On campaign ahead the primary, Mr Max-Voy advised the other aspirants to make it clean and neat, by avoiding personality attacks in order not to tear the party apart in the constituency.

Turning to the delegates, he admonished them to vote according to their conscience, and try as much as possible not to be induced with money, but to vote for a winnable candidate for 2016..

‘It is all about the candidate who can take the party in the constituency to the Promised Land, and Max-Voy is that Moses to take Ashaiman to Canaan.’
