Two in court for raping 31-year-old seamstress

Seyram Fevlo, 19, a kente weaver and Patrick Dukpo, 23, a plumber, on Tuesday appeared before the Ho High Court for allegedly raping a 31-year-old seamstress.

Their pleas were not taken and would be brought back to the Court on October, 16.

On the May 18, 2014, the complainant engaged the services of Fevlo, who is also a commercial motor rider to take her to the St. Anthony Hospital, the Court presided over by Justice Ziblim Imoru was told.

Fevlo allegedly invited Dukpo to accompany him with the complainant to the hospital.

Dukpo sat behind the complainant on the motor bike and allegedly ordered Fevlo to use Tarmakope route to the Hospital.

The accused persons allegedly took the complainant through that route and forcibly had sex with her in turns at a cemetery.

The prosecution said after the act, the accused persons abandoned the complainant at the outskirt of Fiagbedu market, where she screamed for help and was rushed to the hospital by people in the area.

The prosecution said the accused persons were arrested the same day with the help of the husband of the complainant.
