Etv, Japan Motors launch corporate run

ETV Ghana in collaboration with Japan Motors, has launched the 5th edition of the annual five- kilomotre Corporate Run and Walk to rekindle public interest in doing regular physical exercises to promote healthy living among Ghanians.

The event is expected to bring together the corporate world in Ghana to promote healthy lifestyles and networking among businesses through physical exercises.

This year’s event is set to take place on Monday, September 21 at the Silver Star Tower.

Mr John Osei-Tutu Agyeman, General Manager of e.TV Ghana said: “As we have established over the years, idea behind the annual 5km Corporate Run is to provide a good opportunity for players in the Ghanaian corporate industry to interact and socialise while engaging in healthy activities.”

He observed that due to the busy schedules of corporate officials in Ghana and the demands of family responsibilities, exercising becomes a challenging task.

It is in this regard that ETV and Japan Motors provide that avenue through the corporate run for them to keep fit and stay healthy, Mr Agyeman said, and urged other corporate institutions and individuals to come and participate in their numbers.

The Director of Japan Motors, Mr Salah Kalmoni told journalists that more than 400 people are expected to participate in the event.

The 5KM run would start at 6:00 am at the Silver Star Tower, through to 37, past the Airport Roundabout and back to the Silver Star Tower.

Participants would enjoy free breakfast, medical screening and a special VIP breakfast among other attractions.

Mr Kalmoni added that registration for single entry is GH¢ 25 while corporate entry for a team of five members is GH¢ 100.

He urged the public to register at e.tv Ghana at Asylum Down and Japan Motors at Graphic road and Silver Star Tower, Airport City.

The Head of Marketing for Japan Motors, Mrs Hilda Peassah noted: “This collaboration with ETV over the years has been truly successful and fruitful as the two companies share the same goals in promoting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.”

“The corporate run also provides a perfect opportunity for networking and identifying potential business prospects for individuals and corporate institutions who participate.’’

She added that winners of the event would receive prizes such as generators, motors bikes, printers, cameras and accessories and free movie tickets.
