Prof. Avoke is new Vice Chancellor for UEW

Professor Mawutor Avoke, Dean of Graduate Studies, has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor (V.C) of the University of Education Winneba (UEW).

This is contained in a press statement issued from the Office of the Registrar of the University, and signed by Dr. Christopher Akwaa-Mensah, Registrar, and Secretary to the Governing Council of the University, and copied the Ghana News Agency.

The statement indicated that the appointment of Prof. Avoke, immediate past Pro. Vice Chancellor of UEW, took place at a special meeting of the Council held at Winneba on July 30.

The statement indicated that Prof. Avoke’s new appointment takes effect from October 1, when he would take over from Prof. Akwasi Asabere Ameyaw, the current V.C, whose tenure of office ends on September 30.

The Council also appointed Mr. Viscount Buernortey Buer as the new Librarian for UEW, and his appointment takes effect from October 1, the statement added.
