Agyemanti gets new Nkosuohemaa

Aburi (E/R), July 8, GNA- Mr Andrews Yaw Nyarko-Adu, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Akuapem South District, has appealed to the people of North and South District of Akuapem to maintain the peace in the area to attract tourists and investors.

He was speaking at the installation of Madam Audrey Kitagawa as Nkosuohemaa of Agyemanti near Aburi in the Akuapem South, under the stool name Nana Ode Anyankobea I.

Mr Nyarko-Adu appealed to the youth to co-operate with the new chief and elders to develop the town.

He pledged 10 million cedis from the Common Fund to support the people to build primary and Junior Secondary Schools in the town. Nana Anyankobea pledged to cooperate with the stool elders to develop the town.

She advised the people especially women to send their children to school instead of sending them to farms.
