Eight injured in motor accident

Yendi, (N/R) July 7, GNA – Eight people travelling from Yendi to Gushegu Market were injured when their truck was involved in an accident in the Yendi Township on Sunday. The eight have been admitted at the Yendi Government Hospital. They include Asumah Gbegbepaga; Ashietu Abudullah; Fussena Abukari; Fussena Mahama; Mohammed Wosila and Saibu Fussena. The others are Nimatu Mohammed and Mohammed Ambiya. The rest, who had minor injuries, were treated and discharged.

The driver of the vehicle, Mohammed Iddrisu, 35, told the Ghana News Agency that he lost control of the vehicle when he tried to pass by a heap of gravel on the road. He blamed UNIQUES Company Limited, the contractor building the Yendi Township roads, for not leaving enough space for big cargo trucks pass, hence causing his truck to fall on its side.
