The Akropong Divisional Command of the Ghana Police Service in the Eastern Region has arrested a 19–year–old lady, Abigail Asamoah, for allegedly poisoning her boyfriend’s food at Akwapim – Aprede in the Akuapem North District.
The suspect was arrested and currently on police enquiry bill while the police carry on with investigations.
Briefing Brytfmonline.com, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Yaw Nketia-Yeboah in-charge of the Eastern Regional Public Relation Department, disclosed that the incident occurred at about 9:50 am on July 9.
29–year–old Kwame Gyan, a mason on that fateful day went to the Police Station and lodged a complained of a severe stomach upset after eating a Banku and okro stew – local delicacy prepared by his ex-girlfriend, Abigail.
