NDC aspiring calls for unity among Muslims

Mr Armiyawu Abdul-Rahim, aspiring National Democratic Congress Parliamentary candidate for Madina, has called on Muslims to desist from all forms of negative tendencies that tarnishes the image of the Islamic religion.

He said Islam stands for peace, unity, forgiveness and above all love and that anything short of these virtues would ruin the noble religion.

Mr Abdul-Rahim made the call in an interview with Ghana News Agency in Accra on Monday.

He charged the youth in the community to desist from being used as agents by some politicians to score political goals.

Mr Abdul-Rahim said through his initiative, he has been able to provide the Madina community with boreholes and plans are very far advanced to put up a scheme that would empower the youth to go into productive ventures.

He said he has signed an agreement with foreign non-governmental organizations, which would support the youth in the areas of education and health.

Mr Abdul-Rahim therefore urged the electorate to vote for the candidate who has the development of the constituency at heart.
