Politicians urged to adopt godly principles

Pastor Joshua Midson, Head Pastor of the New Atuobo Church of Christ, has called on politicians to shun corrupt practices and employ godly principles in running of the state.

He said many politicians have refused to listen to the message from God over the years, leading to the current hardships and difficulties despite the numerous natural resources.

Pastor Midson told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that it is time for politicians to stop the politics of promises as they are the custodians of the nation’s resources.

He said: “Ghana could have been a nation after God´s heart but for the selfish attitudes of our leaders.”

Pastor Midson said if politicians would not end their selfish desires then the citizens could bargain for a price before voting, “a situation that would further worsen our political and economic woes”.

He said there is the need for the leaders to become more truthful and above all God fearing, in order to keep the country united as it approaches 2016 elections.
