18 Million Cedis Mosque Commissioned At Sunyani

Sunyani,(Brong Ahafo Region) 20 Oct. The Islamic Council for Development and Humanitarian Services has constructed 29 mosques and sunk 38 wells for communities throughout the country. Sheik Ibrahim Mustapha, Chairman of the Council, said this at the commissioning of an 18 million-cedi mosque financed by the Dubai Charity Association of the United Arab Emirates at New Dormaa, a suburb of Sunyani. The mosque which took one year to complete is named after Al Aqrab Manahat Al-Suwardie, the man who funded the charity. Sheikh Mustapha said there are applications at his office in Accra for the council’s assistance in the provision of schools, hospitals, wells and mosques. He said his outfit is working hard to meet these requests.
