Residents of Aladjo, a suburb of Accra woke up to a nerve-chilling sight of a seven -month old fetus dumped in the popular Alajo gutter in Accra.
The lifeless floating fetus, bundled by its umbilical cord, drew scores of awe-struck dwellers and passers-by to the ditch at Alajo .
The premature baby was discovered by Bright Dzatey, a resident of the area at about 8:15 AM.
“As soon as I saw the lifeless fetus in the water, I called other residents to help me drag it out of the water. We called the Police and the Assembly
Member of the area to help conduct a thorough investigation to uncover the person who committed this immoral act,” Dzatey added.
According to media reports, at least seven aborted babies have been retrieved from the same gutter in the last five years.
