Ambassador of Ghana accredited in Turkmenistan

Chairman of the Majlis (Parliament) of Turkmenistan Akja Nurberdieva has received credentials from Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana in Turkmenistan (with residence in Tehran) Alhaji Bawah Gilbert Ayembillah, the message of the government of Turkmenistan said on July 8.

Participants of the meeting said that “despite the geographical distance between the two states, there are ample opportunities for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation” within the framework of the exchange of views on the prospects for interstate cooperation”.

The priority areas of partnership included the trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The establishment of direct inter-parliamentary relations was also suggested.

Alhaji Bawah Gilbert Ayembillah expressed confidence that relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Ghana will be filled with new specific content and will be successfully developing, relying on the good will of the two peoples.

The message of the government said that the diplomat was received in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The sides exchanged views on the state and prospects of bilateral relations, including cooperation within the framework of international organizations. They discussed areas of mutual interest in the economic and trade, energy, transport, cultural and humanitarian spheres, including the spheres of sport and tourism.

They also discussed the possibility of interaction between business circles of the two countries, holding of joint business forums.
